Bisbee Calendar Of Events 2023 – Bisbee Outdoor Festival returns in the second week of October! Join other artists painting historic Old Bisbee architecture and colorful houses among picturesque hills and compete for $ 700 worth of prizes. You also have the option of selling your festival creations to the public in a well-organized wet paint sales area. Locals and visitors are already in town to enjoy the gallery opening during Bisbee After 5 Artwalk.
In 2018, the Bisbee Plein Air Festival is open to any artist who paints outdoors with oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, pastels or other non-digital media.

All images submitted to the competition / sale must be made "en plein air" (outdoors, where the artist has no control over light and weather) on the days of the Bisbee event. All canvases / papers / boards must be stamped BEFORE painting. Unprinted artwork will not be accepted. On Saturday we invite artists to paint in Old Bisbee for the wet paint sale.
Political Calendar: Week Of March 6, 2022
Artists may submit up to four works for evaluation in the competition and sales area. Drawing is recommended but not required.
Artists must provide their paint sets and strong easels to show when judging, and are responsible for the safety of their paintings.
The sales commission is 35% for the Central School project and 65% for the artist on all sales at public parties.

Online registration is available at www.bisbeeafter5.com/plein-air-festival. The paper registration is on the last page of this document and can be sent to the Central School Project. Same day registration and canvas stamping at Bisbee Books & Music, 2 Main Street, Convention Center. Artists can start painting after the canvas has been stamped. Artists can paint anywhere in Bisbee.
Artists are responsible for their own transport and accommodation. Bisbee offers accommodation in quaint small apartments, guesthouses, cottages, rooms in historic hotels and camping parks.
