The School of Medicine is ranked best in pediatrics, family medicine, surgery and physician assistant programs as well as high student diversity. Schools and colleges on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus have been named among the nation's best in USA & World Report's 2023 annual ranking of higher education programs. CU School of Medicine is in the top ten for medical schools; Pediatrics, family medicine and surgery are among the best in the country, according to data released today by USAID and World Report. The magazine ranked it No. 6 for primary care medicine and No. 27 for research in its annual Best Medical Schools report. The CU School of Medicine's ranking in this category remains unchanged from last year. Each year, USA ranks medical schools in two general categories – primary care and research – based on a survey and review of data from accredited medical schools in the United States. Using the feedback and survey data, the journal then issues a rating. The journal also compiles special programs based on evaluations by medical school deans and senior teaching staff. In this year's ranking, Union Faculty of Medicine's three majors ranked among the best: Pediatrics at 7th place; family medicine in 10th place; And surgery is ranked 23rd. The University of Colorado College of Nursing is ranked as the best nursing program. The University of Colorado's master's nursing program was ranked 23rd out of a total of 594 programs, tied with three other schools. In addition, the college was ranked 35th for best doctorate in nursing among 343 schools with five other programs. Additionally, earlier this year, CU Nursing was ranked the 26th best online master's program out of more than 200 programs. CU's Nursing in Administration and Leadership MSN program, also known as iLEAD, was ranked 13th out of 61 online programs.
