Thank you for your interest in the City University of New York. Below is a list of application deadlines and acceptance notification dates. The dates below are not valid for the School of Professional Studies.

1) Beginning in mid-February, all college options listed on their application will notify applicants of their admission decision as a public student.

Liberal Arts And Sciences

Macaulay applicants will be notified of their admission decision to the Macaulay Honors College when they select Macaulay College on their application.

*** Admission review at Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music (ACSM) is a two-step process: Queens College admission and ACSM admission after audition.

All applicants are required to submit a non-refundable application fee to be considered for admission. The new application fee is $65. The transfer request fee is $70.

Please review your application before clicking the Submit button. Upon submission, you will receive a copy of the Application Form. We recommend downloading a copy. We will also generate your first ID number shortly after submitting your application. New Cuny Ma Program

We encourage all applicants to provide supporting documents as part of their application – such as essays and letters of recommendation. Be sure to review the admissions requirements for your intended program to see if any supporting documents are required.

In light of the COVID-19 crisis, SAT and ACT scores are not required or considered for application review during the Spring 2023 admissions cycle. For more information on SAT/ACT score suspensions, click here.

After submitting your application, please remember to submit all required documents for review. You only need to submit one set of documents, even if you apply to more than one university in your application.

Kingsborough Community College

As a new applicant, you will need to provide us with your official school transcript. Your transcript should include all the courses and grades you have completed up to this point.

If you entered your OSIS number on the application, we will receive an electronic copy of your high school transcript. If you have not entered your OSIS number, please contact our technical support for students. If you are currently attending a New York City charter school, request that an official transcript be sent to /UAPC.

Request an official transcript from your high school to send to /UAPC. Your school can email us an official transcript, or if your school uses Naviance, you can request a referral by adding "City University of New York ()" to the list of schools you've applied to. Read more

Cuny Spring 2021 Calendar Off 69%

If you are currently attending or have graduated from a US, international, or Department of Defense-run school, you may request an official high school transcript to send to /UAPC.

If you currently attend or have graduated from an American mission or other private school, your school must meet the school's accreditation standards. If your high school did not meet the accepted standards, you will need to take a high school equivalency test. See the High School Equivalency section below.

If you received a NY High School Equivalency Diploma (also called TASC), please send a copy of your diploma and transcripts. If you were eligible for the HSE Regents exemption, be sure to send your high school transcript along with your HSE diploma. In general, your home school curriculum should follow your school district's prerequisite education requirements for a high school diploma. This will allow us to evaluate your entire record as a home student in the context of the academic requirements outlined above. Read more

If you are a New York state resident who has completed your home education, documentation is required stating all coursework completed and grades received. You must also submit a letter from your school district superintendent or comparable school administrator certifying that you have completed a four-year New York State high school program with your home education.

If you are a senior completing a home school program, you must submit a letter from the superintendent of your school district certifying that you are currently completing a four-year high school program in New York State. Upon completion, please send a letter confirming that you have successfully completed the program.

If you cannot obtain a high school diploma, you must obtain a high school equivalency diploma. See the High School Equivalency section below.

If you are a home-schooled out-of-state resident, a state diploma is required. If you do not have a state-issued diploma, you must have a high school diploma. (More on how to get a high school equivalency score)

Do not accept diplomas from any non-public, online or virtual high school diplomas. Students from these schools must pass the high school equivalency exam to be considered for college admission.

Registration For Summer, Fall And Winter Sessions

Applicants with a CDOS (Professional Development and Studies) degree or first IEP diploma must obtain a high school equivalency certificate.

All applicants are encouraged to provide supporting documents as part of their application and specific majors/programs may require supporting documents to be submitted.

If you are applying to Baruch College, Hunter College, or Queens College, use the essay topics below. Baruch College encourages all first-year applicants to submit an essay. Hunter University and Queens College require an essay.

As a transfer applicant, you will need to provide us with official documents from each school attended. You may request that your submissions be sent electronically or by post to /UAPC. Below is a list of documents that applicants must provide:

Transcripts If you are currently registered, your transcripts will be automatically uploaded when you log in to your first account. If you attended more than ten years ago, you may need to request a paper record.

If you were educated outside the United States, you may need to submit additional documents to complete your application.

Open Call 2023 Applications

You will need to submit a copy of your complete academic record (all years) and any national or government certificates received. For more information, see the list of required high school qualifications.

If you attended a university, you will need to request an official document from each university in order to be accepted.

Applicants educated outside the United States may choose to have their transcripts evaluated by one of the accredited evaluation services listed below or by the University's Application Processing Center.

Spring '22 Semester

If you use one of the above services, you must request: An official course-by-course evaluation report including GPA based on all high school work and all external exam certificates received. Be sure to request that the appraisal service include certified copies of all documents used for the appraisal.
