—Caelan Martin of Philadelphia, Master of Arts and Science and Dennis J. Mitchell Achievement Award. A graduate in psychology, he is an honors graduate, Riley Scholar, and recent Fellow of the Psi Chi National Honor Society. With the goal of becoming a behavior analyst, Martin was recently accepted into the Master of Science in Educational Psychology with a focus on the Applied Behavior Analysis undergraduate program at MSU's Starkville campus.

A graduate with honors and a Riley Scholar, LaBiche spent 18 years in the nursing field before working in the downtown family jewelry store. After finding her roots as a nurse, she then decided to go back to school to study accounting, which has always been part of her interests.

—Mariam Khmaladze, outstanding graduate student in business administration. A professional MBA specialist and credit analyst II at Citizens National Bank, Khmaladze worked to become a US citizen and return to school during the pandemic. As an undergraduate student at MSU, she was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate Student in 2018 and the recipient of the university's Best State Spirit Award.

The first-generation college graduate has joined the Professional Development Network initiative for teaching assistants at MSU. The accelerated Spring 2021 semester follows a similar approach taken this fall and meets the study duration requirements set by the Mississippi Board of Trustees of Higher Education.

Classes start Jan. 6 and end April 19, and spring break has been canceled due to the pandemic. This will allow the semester to end a week earlier than originally planned. However, in response to the MSU Student Union's decision to claim the Monday after Easter as a family day, there will be no classes on April 5. King Jr. The Friday Before Easter will be on April 2, the start of MSU on April 29, and the Starkville Campus Ceremony on April 30.
