Suny Old Westbury Academic Calendar Fall 2023 – Food Swipe allows you to enter the Food Hall at Old Westbury, the only food hall on campus. Up to one meal swipe per day can also be used to replace a special meal at the Student Union dining facilities, Atrium Cafe or The Halal Shack.
Dining Dollars are discounted prices that can be used at all dining options on campus, including the Mall and the Food Hall at Old Westbury (All-You-Care-to-Eat Dining). Purchases made with Dollar Dining are exempt from sales tax. Dining Dollars carry over from the fall to the spring semester. They expire on May 31st and must be used before then.

All students who live on campus must have a meal plan while living on campus. Only students who have legally moved out of residence will be eligible for a meal plan refund. Food consumed during part of the week will be considered consumed during the week. No refunds for less than a week. Requests for refunds or cancellations of meal plans will not be accepted unless religious or dietary reasons are supported by appropriate documentation. Students should first check with the College's Food Services Administration to see if other meal plans are available. Food industry management will consult with the business and finance department and the final decision of denial or approval will be made. Returns allowed based on the return levels listed in the table below.

In the art world, there are paintings known as mosaics: paintings made up of many small individual pictures. Often when we are told about a problem or issue, we try to pin it down to a single cause or solution instead of identifying the smaller issue or problem at the root of the problem.

As our campus responds to ups and downs and social inequality, our students have faced unprecedented challenges in mental health, housing/financial stability, relationships, academics, and every aspect of well-being. Higher education professionals are at the forefront of responding to the challenges facing the emerging adults who make up our student community. In remote, hybrid, and even traditional in-person settings, therapists have developed new ways to support students with these challenges. There are important methods that can be observed and used to better meet the needs of students.

Our conference will begin with a presentation and discussion led by Hayden Green, Director of Multicultural Affairs and Student Development at Manhattan College.
I am a J.E.D.I. (Fairness, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) Fighter and I'm also a professional photographer. The Multicultural Center at Manhattan College has a variety of programs to address these beliefs. This section looks at how we visually represent the thinking of the J.E.D.I. Come learn about our Alternative Narrative Art exhibit, our Halo Project, and our Wings of Engagement.

Mr. Hayden Green serves as the Director of Multicultural Affairs and Student Development at Manhattan College and directs the Multicultural Center. He works to create a collaborative organization that includes students, faculty, and administrators. During his career, Green has held leadership positions in student life at Medgar Evers College, Columbia University's Barnard College, and Montclair State University. Hayden Green also presents internationally, seeking to increase public understanding of leadership styles, inclusion, diversity and equity. Additionally, Hayden Green is an award-winning, award-winning photographer with a flair for mystery and color. He has been a professional photographer since 2008 and strives to capture the unseen beauty we pass by every day. His work includes scenic and urban landscapes, portrait photography, and dynamic concert and event photography. An avid photographer, Green received his BA from Baruch College and his MA from Montclair State University.
Semester In Thailand
The COVID pandemic has changed the way higher education educators serve students. Our new students spend their high school years learning behind the scenes. They missed out on traditional events like proms, sporting events, and for some, even graduation. Because of the uncertainty at the time, some students were not even expected to take standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. Additionally, these students witness political violence and learn the power of their voices on social justice issues. Now in college many students are used to the lifestyle, but as an organization we are trying to get back to what we once thought of as "normal"; revitalizing our campus activities, offering private lessons and providing students. with a "traditional" college experience. How do we work to balance this new generation of students whose lives have been dramatically changed and shaped by the COVID pandemic? What role will technology play in learning in and out of the classroom, and how do we teach students to express their views on social issues in an appropriate and effective way?

Join our panelists and experts as they discuss these questions in a virtual symposium on Friday, April 29, 2022, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
