Ualbany Calendar Spring 2023 – First-year applicants may choose the advance notice option. Students must apply by November 15, and successful applicants will receive an admissions decision by the end of December.
This is the usual option for first-year applicants to distribute decision notices. The deadline for priority consideration is February 1st, and successful applicants are guaranteed an admissions decision by the end of March. Late applicants will be considered on a space available basis.

An AP exam score of 3 or higher indicates U equivalency. AP score reports will be sent to the college in July if specified by the College Board on the student's response form. This is an eight-week course designed to teach students the fundamentals of archaeological fieldwork, laboratory procedures, and artifact analysis. Field school will be held at the Petick Site, a historic Native American site dating back to about 1500 BC. and 1500 AD. Excavations at the site were a collaboration between the Department of Anthropology and the New York State Museum. This course is designed for students who plan to major in archaeology; however, students who do not plan future archaeological work will find this course a useful experience and are encouraged to take it.

Dr. Jennifer Burrell has spent the past two decades as a consultant and expert on immigration issues in the United States, doing field work for Central Americans, especially City Hall staff. Burrell has consulted on human and economic rights with Argentina's Forensic Anthropology Group, an organization that uses forensic anthropology to investigate human rights violations, including the investigation of the student deaths in Ayozi Napa, Mexico, and the compilation of a database on immigrants. disappeared in Central America, and, recently, the Inter-American Development Agency evaluated the Bank's work with indigenous peoples in Central and South America. I am a cultural anthropologist whose primary research method is the use of ethnographic methods to understand how material culture, economic practice and political identity are related.
