All students deposit BVN into their student account 2 weeks before the start of registration each semester. The BVN is automatically removed from the system and registered online after the "minimum down payment required" payment is received by NYT and posted to the student's account.

Bursar Financial Holdings does not allow changes to student accounts for future enrollment and/or current placement. It is the student's responsibility to adjust the system balance to automatically remove BFH.

Students may add and/or drop courses during the add/drop period based on the academic calendar and scholarship priority dates.

If the course is not completely withdrawn during the semester, the addition/transfer will be charged according to the schedule below. Students who achieve zero credit are considered withdrawn from the New York Tech program and will be charged tuition according to the withdrawal/dismissal policy below.

When a freshman withdraws from the College, he must complete a Withdrawal Form in the Office of the Registrar. Academic responsibilities are pre-dated and written according to the graduation schedule. 3-credit tuition is assessed based on the tuition received at the last LOA.

When a current/returning student withdraws from a college or course, they must complete a withdrawal form in the Office of the Registrar. Academic responsibilities are pre-dated and written according to the graduation schedule. College fees are non-refundable.

Students must adhere to the Bursar's Office payment policy and may not attend classes until all fees are paid. Registration is valid only when all fees are paid and there is no outstanding balance with New York Tech.

If NYIT owes you an overpayment, you can request a refund using your previous tuition payment method and return it to the same payer.

Federal tax form T2202 is designed for all students who have paid tuition for qualifying courses and are eligible to file an income tax return. This is used to prove the student's eligibility for the scholarship.

T2202 (Certificate of Teaching and Enrollment) may be required on the income tax return for students who pay income tax for qualifying tuition and qualifying courses. The table shows the qualifying tuition fee as well as the months you study full-time or part-time.
