Yale Academic Calendar 2023-2024 – Yale University is an Ivy League school and its admissions statistics make it one of the most competitive Ivy League schools. Similar to trends in all colleges, Yale's acceptance rates have continued to decline over the past 8 years and will continue to do so in the future.

The Class of 2024 has been one of the most difficult years to get into Yale. In 2024, 35,220 students applied to Yale University, of which 2,304 were accepted, for an overall acceptance rate of 6.5%. The total number of applications decreased by 4.4% compared to the previous year (2023-2024) from 36,843 to 35,220.

796 students were accepted into the Class of 2024 through the early admissions process. The total number of initial applications received was 5,777, giving an early acceptance rate of 13.8%. Compared to the previous year (from 2023 to 2024), the number of initial applications has decreased by 4%, from 6,020 to 5,777.

Founded in 1701, Yale University ranked third among American universities in the 2015 edition of the nation's best colleges and universities. Some of the most important majors at the university are economics, political science, and government. As a result, Yale students produce some of the most influential public figures, politicians, and foreign relations experts in the United States. More US presidents have attended Yale than any other US university, including Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

Located in New Haven, Connecticut, Yale University consists of Yale University (for undergraduates), the College of Arts and Sciences, and thirteen other professional schools. The total student population of all schools at Yale is approximately 5,379 undergraduate students, 6,501 graduate and professional students, and 2,135 international students. The student body is roughly 50/50 male to female.

The university is known for its small class sizes and offers hundreds of seminars for twelve students. With six students per faculty member, more than 75% of all classes at Yale have at least twenty students per class. Yale students are chosen to live in one of twelve residential colleges, each headed by a designated master and dean. The most popular residential colleges are Branford, Silliman, Saybrook, and Davenport. The residential college system is central to the social experience of every undergraduate student at Yale, as each residential college has its own dining hall, gymnasium, sports complex, and student cafe. In addition, cultural buildings on campus, such as the Asian American Cultural Center and the Latino Cultural Center, each provide opportunities for students to express their cultural identity on campus.

Yale offers thirty athletic programs for both men and women. Popular sports include basketball, volleyball, golf, ice hockey and soccer. There are also non-traditional sports offerings, including indoor bowling, water polo and dodgeball, and boating for students. Our four major student/faculty awards are the Student Research Award, Student Book Award, Student Poster Award, and the Redd Center/Rural Western Award. We also have teacher awards open for nominations (Innis, Hart, Lifetime Achievement), although awards are usually given every 4 years. National Collegiate Wrestling Association Championships & Convention

It promotes research and education related to various rural issues, namely agriculture, rural development and rural land use. We are pleased to offer $500 research grants to student members whose current research contributes to further knowledge and understanding of rural issues. Funding may be requested for any reasonable expenses incurred during the research experience. Students are invited to present the results of their financial projects in a sponsored session at next year's AAG meeting.

To apply, please follow the instructions on the research proposal form (above) and send your proposal to Jonathan London, Awards Chair, by 31 December 2021. The winner will be notified by February 1, 2021.

Redd Center / Biennial Rural American West Paper Award, odd years Posted in Summer | Submit at least one month before AAG meeting Winner announced at a business meeting Award: $500

Usa Scholarships 2023 2024

Sponsored by the Charles Redd Center at Brigham Young University, this competition recognizes outstanding research papers on the geography of the rural American West presented at the annual meeting of the Association of American Geographers. Both college students and high school students can participate in the competition, who will give an oral presentation during the work session. The winner will receive $500 through The Redd Company. Papers submitted should be of publication quality (

, and so on). Place maps, tables, and other graphics in their proper places in the body of the paper.

To apply, email a non-PDF electronic copy (preferably MS Word) to Jonathan London, Awards Director, at least one month before the AAG conference. The winner will be announced at the business meeting during AAG Week (see final meeting schedule for business meeting date, time and location).

Yale University Admission Statistics Class Of 2024

The group on the specialty "Rural Geography" seeks to recognize the work of geographers who have made a significant contribution to the field of rural geography. Submit your nominations to Awards Chairman Jonathan London on August 15. Note: Awards will be presented in 2021 due to a virtual conference. Although nominations may be requested annually, award winners may not be recognized until the following year when the reception is held – every four years. Any AAG member can nominate candidates. Applicants may be required to submit an electronic copy of their CV and the names and addresses of three references to the Awards Chair. The Award Committee's recommendation is sent to the Board of Directors for final decision.

The award was established in recognition of Donald K. Innis' contributions to the field of geology and nutrition, and is awarded every five years to a student in recognition of research achievements in these fields.

The award was established in recognition of the contributions of John Fraser Hart and is presented every five years to a student who has demonstrated significant achievement and sustainability in the field of agriculture and/or rural area study.
