Sta 2022 23 Calendar

On January 8 at the 19th annual CFISD Invitational at the Berry Center, Annika Gotlieb of Langham Creek High School and Elizabeth Duvall of Rockwall High will face off against 4 of 5 in the 128-pound championship. In accordance with state legal guidance, the first day of the 2022-2023 school year will be August 22. According to a district press release, the calendar was developed in fall 2021 by a committee of teachers, parents, community members and staff.

School Year Calendars For El Paso Area School Districts

September 26, 2022, October 24, 2022, January 13, 2023, February 17, 2023 and April 10, 2023: teachers' working days/schools are closed to make up classes, which are also student holidays;

Lone Star College-CyFair is opening their library to the public to let them know about the space and win prizes.

Pop in to Your Library Tours is scheduled to return to the LSC-CyFair library January 24-27 and January 31-February. 3rd and February 7th to 10th. Librarian-led tours are 30 minutes or less and no registration is required. Participants can meet near the entrance to the LSC-CyFair Technology Building for a chance to win.

Board Of Education Approves 2022 2023 Student Calendar

"This three-week introductory tour is designed to help reduce barriers to library anxiety among students and community patrons," Liz Nebeker, reference librarian, said in a university news release. "These tours cover library resources and services that can be used to assist in the success of classroom and community projects. Come to the library to learn about 'what to do where' and meet our librarians who are the 'expert resources' here to serve you ."

Franklin Sampson, Director of Guidance and Counseling at Cy-Fair ISD, has been selected as the Lone Star State School Counselor Association's Office of Counselor Education Vice President.

"This will be a great opportunity for me to continue to give back to others," Sampson said in the release. "I have made it part of my daily goal to do what I can to make an impact on someone's life. Serving in this capacity will help our organization grow to greater heights. I have overseen nearly 300 school counselors, 19 The unique positions of social workers, four mental health intervention counselors and one substance abuse counselor. I will use my influence to continue to support this awesome association."

District Calendar For 2022 2023 Approved

Cy-Fair ISD saw 18 wrestlers win medals, including two individual titles, during the 19th CFISD Invitational on January 7-8.

Cypress Ranch High School girls wrestlers are the highest ranked CFISD schools, while Cy Ranch boys are the highest ranked of all CFISD teams in the men's tournament.

Kahla Middle School students and staff held Bears for the Blue drive to collect new and used plush toys for the CFISD Police Department and other police departments.

School Board Approves 2022 2023 Instructional Calendar — Currents

According to a regional press release, 160 plush toys were collected and will be donated to children in need.

The event was planned by Kahla Class Assistant Professional Kelsey Jackson and Secretary Dolores Frayler to give students the opportunity to help others. Driving starts on January 5th and ends on January 13th.

"This is a service project that gives back to the community," Jackson said. "I've spoken to some economically disadvantaged kids, and hearing them talk about giving stuffed animals to others who may be in need is huge. They get something in return, but it's not tangible. It's a A very good service behavior."
