Lone Star College Calendar 2023 – The Spring ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2021-2022 school year on Tuesday. The academic calendar of the year according to which students start classes on August 11, 2021 and finish school on Thursday, May 26, 2022.

The approved plan was one of two options presented to staff and the community in a survey that gathered feedback from more than 4,100 people. These two options were similar except for the start and end dates of the school year and a slight difference in spring break.

"I want to thank everyone who took the time to participate in our calendar survey," said Spring ISD Superintendent Dr. Rodney E. Watson. "Among members of our community, university staff, parents and students, Option B was the preferred option, and our board certainly considered it in the final decision."

Specifically, according to the approved calendar, the students' winter vacation after half a day of study begins on December 26 and ends with the return to school on Tuesday, January 13. Spring break starts in half a day. on March 11 and classes will resume on Monday March 21.

Throughout the year, students have early dismissal days on October 8, December 17, March 11, and May 26 to allow for teacher preparation activities in the afternoon. Early dismissal days on September 17th and February 11th mark afternoon parent visitation times.

ISD's Spring Advisory Committee on Education (ACE), which includes staff and teachers, provided information and guidance to the public in a community survey before introducing the two calendar proposals. Board Approves Student Holiday And 2022 2023 Calendar

5/5 Franklin Sampson, director of guidance and counseling at CFISD, was recently elected vice president of the Lone Star State School Counselors Association (LSSSCA).

According to state law guidelines, the first day of school for the 2022-2023 school year is August 22. According to the district's press release, the calendar was developed in the fall of 2021 by a committee of teachers, parents, community members and staff.

September 26, 2022, October 24, 2022, January 13, 2023, February 17, 2023, and April 10, 2023: Teacher Work Days / Center Closure Recovery Days, which are also student school holidays.

Lone Star College-CyFair is opening its library to the public, allowing them to explore the space and win prizes.

The Pop in to Your Library Tours program returns to LSC-CyFair Libraries on the 24th-27th. January, January 31. 3. and 7.-10. Through February, librarian visits last 30 minutes or less and no registration is required. Participants can meet near the entrance to the LSC-CyFair Technology Building for a chance to win.

"These three-week introductory tours are designed to help reduce the barriers of library anxiety for students and community users," librarian Liz Nebacker said in a university news release. "These tours cover library resources and services available to help with successful classroom and community projects. Come learn where to do what and meet our librarians who are resource experts at your service."

Franklin Sampson, director of guidance and counseling at Cy-Fair ISD, has been named vice president of the Lone Star State School Counselor Association.

"This is a wonderful opportunity and gives me the opportunity to help others," Sampson said in a statement. "I make it my daily goal to do whatever I can to make an impact in someone's life. Serving in this position will help our organization grow to greater heights. I am in the unique position of "I oversee nearly 300 school counselors, 19 social workers. Four mental health intervention counselors, and one substance abuse counselor."

Cy-Fair ISD went 7-8 in the 19th CFISD Invitational. 18 wrestler medals including two individual championships in January.

Hisd Approves 2022 23 Academic Calendar

Cypress Ranch High School's girls wrestlers finished as CFISD's top school, while Cypress Ranch's boys earned CFISD's top team finish in the boys' competition.

Kala High School students and staff hosted water bears and collected new and used stuffed animals for the CFISD Police Department and other police departments.

According to the district's press release, 160 stuffed animals will be collected and donated to needy children.

The drive was planned by sophomore Kelsey Jackson and secretary Dolores Frayler as an opportunity for students to help others. The ride started on January 5th and ended on January 13th.

"It was a service project that gave back to the community," Jackson said. "I've talked to some kids who are economically disadvantaged and I've heard them talk about giving their stuffed animal to someone else who might need it. They're getting something back, but it's not tangible. It's good. It's a service."
